The Cure for 99 Diseases:
A Hadith in Musnad Ishaq, narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), conveys that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said: "لا حول ولا قوۃ الا" ("La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah)
is a cure for 99 diseases, the least of which is grief."

The Incident of Hajjaj bin Yusuf's Prison:
Dear listeners and viewers, the usefulness and power of these words can be understood well from this incident. Allama Abdul Rahman Al-Safuri Al-Shafi'i (may Allah have mercy on him), the author of Nuzhat-ul-Majalis, mentioned in his book Nuzhat-ul-Majalis that:
Hajjaj bin Yusuf ordered that an elderly man should be imprisoned. When they were about to put chains on his feet, he raised his head towards the sky and said:
لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بكَ لَكَ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ ("La hawla wa la quwwata illa bika, lakal-khalqu wal-amr."
Translation:
"There is no power to avoid sin and no strength to do good except with Your help. Creation belongs to You, and the command belongs to You." That is, all creation and all commands belong to Allah alone.
The Cure for 99 Diseases:
At night, the prison guard closed all the doors. But when the morning came, the chains were still lying there, but the elderly man was nowhere to be found.
Hajjaj was informed about this. He asked:
"Did this man say anything?"
One person replied:
"Yes. When I was putting the chains on his feet, he was reciting:
لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلا بكَ لَكَ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ
Hajjaj said:
"Whatever he recited in front of you was the reason that he was released secretly."
Therefore, when a difficulty comes, this Wazifa should be recited frequently.
