Ayat e karima benefits and virtues:

There are ups and downs in a person’s life, that is, sometimes happiness and sometimes sadness, sometimes wealth and sometimes poverty, and similarly sometimes illness and health and sometimes trouble and trials, all these things are part of a person’s life. The religion of Islam has guided us in every matter. Therefore, the meaning of a holy hadith is that when a calamity befalls a Muslim, he should recite the prayer of Yunus (Ayat e Karima).

Introduction to the Prayer of  Yunus:

When the fish swallowed Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him) by the command of Allah and the fish swam in the sea for forty days, and Prophet Yunus kept listening to the glorification of the jinn and fish in the belly of the fish, Prophet Yunus kept glorifying and extolling Allah and saying:

O my Lord! You have brought me down from the mountains, made me wander through the cities, and confined me in three darknesses: the darkness of the night, the darkness of the water, and the darkness of the fish’s belly. You have punished me in a way that no one before me had been punished like this. When the forty days were over, Hazrat Yunus (AS) called out to Allah Almighty:

فَنَادَى فِي الظُّلُمَتِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا انْتَ سبحانک انی كنتُ مِنَ الظّٰلمين ۔

Translation:

Then in the darkness he cried out: “O Allah! There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory be to You! Indeed, I was of the transgressors.”

Then the angels heard their cry and recognized them by their voice, and because of their weeping and lamentation, the angels also started crying and they said: Our Lord! This is the weak voice of a sad person who is in a strange place.

Allah Almighty said: This is My servant Yunus, When Hazrat Yunus called upon his Lord with these words (mentioned verse), Allah Almighty accepted his repentance and granted him salvation from this calamity.

That is why in the Holy Hadith, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has instructed to recite this supplication, that is, the Holy Verse (Ayat e karima), at the time of trouble, because due to its recitation, the servant is protected from misfortunes.

Method of reciting the Holy Verse (Ayat e karima):

The Holy Verse should be recited one hundred times after the Fajr prayer in the morning with the Durood Pak at the beginning and end.

Or whenever you get the opportunity during the day, the Holy Verse should be recited.

 Important issue for women:

Can a woman recite during her menstrual period?

A woman can recite during her menstrual period as a dua or as a wazifa. And she cannot recite as a recitation of the Quran. If she recites with the intention of dua or wazifa, there is no harm in it.

Ayat e Karema:

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا انْتَ سُبحانَکَ اِنِّی كنتُ مِنَ الظّٰلمين ۝

Translation:

There is none worthy of worship except You, Glory be to You, indeed I was of the transgressors.

(This is the verse of the Holy Quran, parah# 17, verse #87 of Surah Al-Anbiya).
