The Shariah Way of Intimacy Between Husband and Wife:

The Shariah way of having sex:

Allah Almighty has made the relationship between husband and wife a source of satisfaction for each other. When a man and a woman enter into a marital relationship through a Sunnah marriage according to Islamic laws, they become so close to each other that the Holy Quran describes it as follows:

"ھن لباس لکم وانتم لباس لھن۔۔۔" 

Translation:

"They (your wives) are your clothing and you are their clothing"

 (Surah Al-Baqarah: 187).

Sunnah method of sexual intercourse: 

Married people often have this question about how to have personal relationship with their wife, how to have sexual intercourse or which methods are permissible in Sharia and which methods are not. Here, this issue has been written in detail. 

The wife Is the husband’s field: 

In Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah says:

نِسَآؤُكُمْ حَرْثٌ لَّكُمْ۪- فَاْتُوْا حَرْثَـكُمْ اَنّٰى شِئْتُمْ٘- وَ قَدِّمُوْا لِاَنْفُسِكُمْؕ- وَ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ وَ اعْلَمُوْۤا اَنَّكُمْ مُّلٰقُوْهُؕ- وَ بَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ ۝ " (2:223)

Translation:

"Your women are your crops, so come to your crops wherever you wish, and put forward your good deeds, and fear Allah and know that you will surely meet Him, and give good news to the believers."

(Surah Al-Baqarah:223)

Which direction should intercourse be performed?

In the above mentioned Quranic verse, Allah Almighty has called the woman the husband’s field, just as a farmer sows seeds in his land to get a harvest, so too a man sows seeds to get children, and the woman’s front is the place of her private parts for getting children. And that is what one should have intercourse with, no matter what the direction, meaning: Standing, sitting, lying down or from behind, but the private parts should be in front.

It is forbidden to have sexual intercourse in a woman’s anus:

Hadith Mubarak:

"عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: إِتْيَانُ النِّسَاءِ نَحْوَ الْمَحَاشِ حرامٌ"

Translation:

"Hazrat Abu Dharr Ghaffari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: It is forbidden to have sexual intercourse in the anus of women". 

(Musnad of Imam Azam, Kitab al-Nikah, Hadith: 278)

Similarly, in another hadith he said:

"Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever has intercourse with his wife in her anus, Allah will not look at him with mercy on the Day of Resurrection.” "

When should you have sex? (with your wife) 

There is no specific time to have sex with your wife, you can have sex whenever you want, day or night.

What is the best time?

So, you can have sex whenever you want, but the best time for sex is the last part of the night, that is, after midnight, and the best night is the night of Friday.

Having sex twice in one night: 

If one intends to have sex twice in one night, then one should do it once in the early part of the night and the second time in the last part of the night, because this is proven by the Sunnah.

Warning:

Although you can have sexual intercourse day, night, or whenever you want, But you cannot have sexual intercourse during the day while fasting during the month of Ramadan because it is forbidden.
