Prayer for debt to be paid :
Hazrat Hamran (RA) narrated that
whoever tried to meet Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) found him in a gathering
preaching and advising people. Once Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) said: O
Hamran (RA), I always see you in my company because you are seeking something
good for yourself.
He said: O Abu Abdur Rahman! [This
is the nickname of Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
This is absolutely correct. Then Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar said: I forbid you
from two things and I command you to do one thing because I heard the Holy
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanding it. I said: O Abu
Abdur Rahman! What are those three things?
1 - The answer is: You should
not have any debt at the time of your death, except that which can be paid from
your inheritance.
2 - So
do not recite any verse of the Quran for fame, otherwise you will be humiliated
for it on the Day of Judgment, because your Lord does not wrong anyone.
3 - Now I order you to do what
the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered me to do.
They are the two Sunnahs of Fajr, never abandon them because there are many
reasons for their desire. That is, there are many reasons for the betterment of
a person in it.
(Sharh Musnad Imam Azam,
p. 406)
This hadith is narrated by Hazrat
Abdullah bin, a trained companion of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), who is
specifically advising his other companion Hazrat Hamran that when you leave
this world, leave it in such a state that you do not have any debts. Because
debts are related to the rights of the servants, until the servant forgives,
Allah Almighty will not forgive this right.
Traditions prove that all the sins of a martyr will be forgiven, but his debt will not be forgiven unless the owner (the debtor) himself forgives it.
Prayer for paying off debt:
This prayer is proven by hadiths and
is such a powerful prayer that no matter how big the debt, Allah Almighty will
definitely create the means to pay it off.
Masnoon Prayer:
Prayer for debt to be paid:
اَللّٰھُمَّ اکْفِنِیْ بِحَلَالِکَ عَنْ حَرَامِکَ وَاَغْنِنِیْ
بِفَضْلِکَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاکَ۔
Translation:
"O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful
sustenance, protect me from unlawful sustenance, and make me independent of
others except You, with Your grace".
How to recite the dua:
Recite it eleven times with Durood
Shareef at the beginning and end of every prayer. If possible, it would be
better to recite it an additional hundred times in the morning and evening.
